Opening Tables to Teacups was our lifelong dream. We felt there was a great need in Longmont and the surrounding area for an outlet where individuals could sell their nicely used furniture and other items in a more-profitable environment than a garage sale. Our first shop was small—4,000 square feet. The consignment business was certainly in demand, with long waiting lists of people who wanted to sell their items in our store. After three years, Tables to Teacups was such a success, we were able expand to 26,000 square feet of not only consignment space, but also flea market space.

Tables to Teacups, at 1420 Nelson Rd. in Longmont, has become a family business, including sons Brian and Brandon, and Brandon’s wife Kira; other close friends have joined us. Ours is a store where people stroll though the aisles for several reasons. Some are looking for just the right item to add to their collections, whether it be antique or collectable—depression glass, pottery, Hummels, Precious Moments, baseball cards, and toys, just to name a few. Additional items we sell include horse tack, tools, and antique to new firearms and military items. Treasures are always lurking amongst the common items, just waiting to be discovered.

Other customers are looking for reasonably priced furniture that will fit their decor. Still others are just here to see what jumps out at them and says, “Take me home.” Items are here from grandma’s house and your childhood, ready to take you down Memory Lane. Whatever the reason for your visit, Tables to Teacups is a great place to spend a few hours.

For those who have the urge to hit a few balls, we have added John’s Upper Deck Batting Cages. Both fastball and softball cages are available during regular business hours. Our batting cages are a great place to practice for teams, singles, or parties. Team or private lessons are also available from our batting and pitching coach, Greg Riddoch. Of course, he is only available off season, when he’s not working with the Texas Rangers.

Another important part of our business is estate sales. Whether you’re downsizing your home or clearing out an estate, we’ll take care of all your consignments.
